5th Annual Free Christmas Tree for Trash Giveaway
December 5, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
As the costs of Fresh Green Christmas Trees begin to soar, Active Recycling announces their 5th Annual Free Christmas Tree for Trash Giveaway.
As Active Recycling transforms into an Urban Forrest, the spirit of the season begins when Santa Claus kicks off the 5th Annual Free Christmas Tree for Trash Giveaway.
What began as an act of charity four years ago with Errol Segal purchasing a tree for a customer with limited means, has evolved into a community program where 1,000 Christmas Trees will be given away again for free.
Those receiving a free Tree, must bring in trash and can dump up to 500 pounds of trash for free!
Yes, that is correct, dump up to 500 pounds of trash for free, (no minimum) and receive a free Christmas Tree. (One tree per Customer/vehicle, until they are gone.)
Between the cost of the Tree and the ability to dump up to 500 pounds of trash for free, those taking full advantage of the program are receiving a Christmas Gift valued at $250.00
1,000 fresh Christmas Trees will begin their journey from a Tree Farm in Oregon and arrive in South Central Los Angeles.
Last year 1,000 fresh trees were distributed by Active Recycling with the help and support of the Los Angeles Police Departments 77th Division and the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was the good will story of the season.
Why exchange trash for the trees?
Los Angeles has been engulfed in an epidemic of illegal trash dumping. Active Recycling wants to do their part in providing solutions and support for the community.
To date, over 6 million pounds of trash has been received by Active Recycling for free.
