S.T.E.P.S. Program Off and Running at Jackie Tatum/Harvard Recreation Center

The American Heart Foundation recommends 150 minutes of moderate exercise, or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week. That can be achieved at Harvard Park. Photo by Jason Lewis

The Strategic Dialogue That’s Empowered by Public Safety (STEPS) program recently launched at the Jackie Tatum / Harvard Park Recreation Center in a combined effort of the American Heart Association, LAPD, the Department of Recreation and Parks, the Community Safety Partnership, and the LA Urban League. The program is intended to promote healthy exercise and dialogue as community members walk and exercise with LAPD officers and neighbors.

The walks will continue weekly on Saturdays at 9am. The first walk will be on September 30. Come on out and join your neighbors in the fun.
