The Empowerment Congress Central Area Neighborhood Development Council is focused on Bringing Back Neighborhood Pride, by targeting issues of safety, beautification, healthy living, and community involvement in 2018. Our Council is made up of a great group of friendly people, who work well together and have a passion for our community. We invite you to join us at a Board Meeting, Committee Meeting or event.
The Community S.T.E.P.S. Program got off to a great start this fall with LAPD Officers and neighbors joining forces for a weekly walk on Saturdays. Community members get exercise, build relationships with Officers and even get a chance to partake in health screenings. S.T.E.P.S. continues each Saturday morning at 9. Join us then!
Active Recycling invites residents to bring up to 500 pounds of trash or green waste which can be dumped for free (provided they have not previously taken advantage of any other free trash dumping offers.) and receive a free Christmas Tree.
Send in your nomination by Friday, November 24, 5pm for a needy child to receive a free bike this Christmas.
